Messi, the player with most honours in Barça history

Thanks to the 2-1 win against Sevilla in the final of the Spanish Super Cup played in Tangier, Morocco, Leo Messi has become the player with most honours in the Club’s history. The first trophy of the season takes the Argentine’s total to 33, moving past another Barça legend, Andrés Iniesta who has 32.
The midfielder who now plays in Japan had an identical record to Leo Messi as a Barça player and both had topped the record previously held by Xavi Hernández with 25 following victory in the 2015 Club World Cup against Argentine club River Plate in Japan.
With Iniesta no longer at the Club, Messi takes over the record on his own as he continues to consolidate his legacy as the best player in FC Barcelona history, one that just keeps growing and growing.
