UK weather forecast: Temperatures to rise NEXT WEEK as heatwave continues

TEMPERATURES are forecast to soar next week in UK as heatwave continues, as a hosepipe ban is set to be introduced in August.

The UK’s heatwave is set to continue as temperatures are forecast to rise to 30C next week.
Ben Rich, a BBC meteorologist told viewers that by the end of this week we will see temperatures rise with eastern England “not expecting hige amounts of rain”.
He said: “It is going to be even warmer on Thursday particularly towards the south east.
“Temperatures in some spots 29C, perhaps even closer to 30C but a bit of a change towards the north west as thickening cloud and some outbreaks of rain associated with a set of weather fronts.”
Mr Rich added: “We are not expecting huge amounts of rain at all to parts of eastern England.
“Here another hot sunny day, with 29C in London and a little bit cooler for Scotland and Belfast at 19C.
“As we go into the weekend, high pressure will be close enough to exert an influence.”
The latest  forecast follows a shock hosepipe ban announced for the north-west of England, the first for six years.
The United Utilities ban will impact more than seven million households with the exception of Carlisle and the north Eden Valley, where local supplies remain at reasonable levels.

The hosepipe ban, which will come into effect on Sunday 5 August, would only be called off if there is prolonged rainfall.
Helen Apps, from United Utilities, said: "We have had a bit of rainfall but it is not enough to fill the reservoirs as much as they need to be."
Martin Padley, United Utilities Water Services Director, added: “With forecasters predicting a return to hot, dry weather for the rest of July, we are now at a point where we will need to impose some temporary restrictions on customers."
The ongoing heatwave is believed to be the longest since 1976, as parts of south England have gone six weeks without rain.

The study followed the participants for 12 weeks. When compared to a matched historical control group from a previous weight loss trial on a different type of fasting, the researchers found that those who ...
